Physical Appearance :
Hair Color: Grey
Eye Color: Brown
Height: Average of a Woman of her age
Build: Fairly weak muscled, and a slim figure.
Other Appearance Information: Professor Pine is really what you would expect of a woman her age, with Faded black hair which is almost completely grey coming straight down to the tip of her shoulders. Her hair is very shiny due the how clean she has to keep it when working in her laboratory; she wouldn’t want any chemicals to be sucked in by her hair, no, that would probably be quite a bad mistake. For such an old lady, her face is surprisingly young, with a mouth that stretches wildly into a smile whenever she meets someone she likes, the jollyness forcing its way through the smile directly into your body, making you feel much better about life. Her eyes are a deep shade of blue, shining elegantly like the ocean waves, the glint forcing memories of sunny days to seep back into your mind. Her nose is plump, and almost round, sitting comfortably between her two eyes. She’s a mouth breather, so the nose is often still, doing nothing except occasionally picking up important scents. Her ears are averaged size, but are starting to turn slightly death from close range, perfectly fine from far apart or even on step away, but if she’s in an enclosed space with someone, she can barely hear them. Around her neck is a beautiful ocean blue scarf, made of wool, and long enough to cover the neck round twice if wanted, although she generally only wraps it round once.
Clothes wise, she wears very similar to three of the other current professors, simply wearing a white lab coat over undershirt. Her undershirt, however, is very different to all of the other professors undershirts, due to the fact that instead of the normal shirts they wear, she wears a red, brown and green stripped woolly jumper, made from Mareep Wool and died to make a more Christmas look. Ironically, she received the jumped for Christmas, but refuses to take it off, due to the fact, in her opinion, it’s the nicest jumper she’s ever owned, able to withstand any conditions, apparently including boiling hot summer conditions. Rather than the trousers that the other professors wear, she wears a skirt, going down to her knees, white in colour to match her lab coat. She wears a pair of ocean blue clogs for shoes, her favourite colour if you haven’t already figured that out, and loves to tap them about rhythmically throughout her lab. She keeps her Pokeballs inside various zipped pockets hidden inside her jacket, along with her lab keys and plane keys (she keeps one as the nearest airport).

Personality: Personality: Professor Pine is quite frankly the most bizarre of all of the professors, simply because of her slight barmyness that has come due to old age, stress, and spending so much time with her bizarre assortment of Pokemon, who have such contrasting, unchangeable personalities that its no wonder she’s gone slightly bonkers, who wouldn’t go insane after spending so much time with all of these Pokemon? Despite her slight craziness, Pine is actually a very friendly person, especially to younger children, who she believes will eventually go on to great figures of tomorrow, and live to have fruitful lives with their Pokemon. As I said, delusional, but anyway, she has the strange ability to always see the good in people, regardless of how they have acted in the past, she is willing to give anyone a second chance. Unless, of course, they betrayed her personally, in which case she believes no forgiveness can be given. She has a very good memory, and often reminisces events which happened when she was 14, and event that normally wouldn’t really be worth remembering, but in her mind, every single memory is priceless. It is because of this belief she has become the successful Pokemon professor she is today, her knowledge far surpassing various others in her profession simply because she can remember things that they have no knowledge about.
Her personality towards her Pokemon is a simple one. If they disobey her direct orders, or attempt to hurt any Pokemon younger than three years old (unless they’re under that age themselves), they will get extreme punishment. Other than that, she lets them roam around the lab and the nearby town. They know her expectations, and know that they’ll be letting her down if they ever do anything to hurt Pines reputation with the nearby villagers. Pine is on first name terms with everyone in the village, including young babies, and has seen hundreds of trainers pass through the town every year, all of which she remembers by name basis. One thing that the people from other towns are often confused about are the lack of Starter Pokemon available, but strictly speaking, that’s not true. She will willingly offer any species from the nearby area as a starter Pokemon for a trainer, and will help them come and capture it themselves. In her eyes, this is better, as it allows the trainer to prove to themselves very early that they have what it takes to be a trainer, and if they fail to capture a Pokemon, she will eventually give them one, but then tell them to practice capturing should they ever want to have a team of more than one Pokemon.
In battle, Pine is surprisingly adept at making tough decisions at the most pressured times, and this ability had led her to become a master Pokemon Battler, coming third, second and first in various Pokemon Leagues. She is able to bring out the best in every Pokemon, even those with two or three moves, and will easily manage a win where others have failed. She loves watching the look on young trainers faces when she pounds them into the dust, with most likely half an hours worth of battle time left over, simply due to the speed in which she fought them. Of course, with her ageing body her abilities were always likely to suffer, and they slowly have started to suffer physically, her Wartortle not as powerful as it once was. She still, however, is extremely mentally fit, able to make the most drastic decisions mid battle to turn everything suddenly and surprisingly in her favour. One thing she hates above all, however, is the Pokemon League authorities. Ask her why, and you’ll regret it forever.
History: Gloria was born in a region far away from Kumogata, many years ago when an entirely different selection of Gym Leaders, Elite Four members and Pokemon Professors existed in the land. She was born in a small town called Maple, in the southern reaches of Kanto, only a few miles away from the starting place off all Pokemon Trainers, Pallet Town. She lived a quiet life up until the starting age of 10, simply staying at home with her parents and learning how to properly fend for herself, as well as being taught all the useful life skills she would need for her journey to come. She always used to love books when she was young, especially those written by the Pokemon Professors of the time. She loved the diagrams of the Pokemon, the information given about them all, and the tiny little notes that the Professors would scribble in for more detail. She also, however, loved the biographies of Gym Leaders and Champions, the battles were extremely thrilling to her. At a young age she started to plan out the team she wanted for her eventual adventure of a trainer. She had Three different teams planned out, each having three Pokemon she definitely wanted, and three conditional Pokemon which depended on what Starter she chose. Choosing a starter was perhaps the most difficult of the team to chose, and she still couldn’t do so when she came to her tenth birthday.
Strangely, she didn’t have too, as when she arrived at the lab on the day of her Tenth Birthday, she found they only had one Pokemon left. Apparently, March is a popular month for trainers to start. It’s the Spring, so its much warmer than the months before, and lots of Pokemon are coming out of hibernation, as well as breeding, meaning lots of young Pokemon easy enough for the rookie trainers to catch. The starter Pokemon that was left, however, had only been born early that same morning, and was an extremely tiny Squirtle when Pine let her out her Pokeball. She didn’t mind, though, even if she did have to wait one more week before she could start her journey, to allow her little turtle to become prepared, it wouldn’t matter right? She was wrong, however, as when she returned home to her parents, they ran over to her and hugged her, saying they had just received the greatest thing Pine could ever want; they had gained a scholarship to the ancient Viridian Academy, famed throughout the land for producing the best minded Pokemon Trainers and Professors ever. Gloria wasn’t certain what to say. She wanted to start her journey soon…but this chance was too much to miss, so she packed her bags and went on foot to Viridian, ready to begin her learning.
Upon arriving in the Acadamy, she instantly fell in love with the beautiful grounds, scenery and of course, the best lessons in the land. Being taught by great professors, skilled battles, and even some of the best artists in history certainly had its peaks, but the thing that Pine loved the most was the Pokemon Encyclopedic classes. Teaching the class, 3 lessons a Pokemon, about the entire Kanto Dex (as well as Johto and Hoenn) by the time that she had reached her eighteenth year, graduation. Her Squirtle was now beginning to show signs of increasing strength, and huge gasps came throughout the area after evolution. Prior to this, the Squirtle was just thought to be a little off colour, and pale rather than what was now blatant as it evolved into Wartortle. It was shiny. Running away from a large horde of excited students, Pine and Wartortle finally managed to catch them in Viridian Forest, where they decided they might as well begin their journey. From there, they went through the Kanto Region, battling against various trainers, and catching a team of Pokemon to aid her. Finally, they faced off against the Kanto League, and came second overall, recognised as one of the best trainers in the region. Excited fans asked what she was going to do next, and she happily replied ‘I’m going to win the Johto Leauge’.
Heading off towards the Johto League, she stopped off at the Power Plant alongside the winner of the league, who’s father had not returned from his journey there three days ago. They went in together in an attempt to find his father, and they did so. It seemed he was the prisoner of an angry Electivire. Thankfully, with their combined effort, the winners father was freed, and Gloria prepared to leave for her journey. That was, at least, until she found a Shiny Magnemite floating around the area. Apparently, the Magnemite was completely lost, as it kept flying round in circles frantically, attempting to find a way out of the area it was in. The only way out, however, was blocked by Gloria, who happily captured the Magnemite and added it to her collection. Gloria decided soon after to take it to the brand new professor of Kanto, Samuel Oak, and ask him if it would be useful for his research. Apparently, it was, and with Glorias permission, he performed an experiment on it. The experiment was a success, Magnemite evolving into Magneton, and becoming a solid Pokemon in Glorias team.
She continued through Johto and Hoenn, coming second and third in the leagues, and catching two more Pokemon that would join her permanent team. Tongue was captured by plain accident while Gloria was walking out of Chuck Srs gym, flicking her badge in her hand. Walking along the beach, she tripped and landed flat on her face, her body smacking straight down onto a rock, cracking it in two. Slowly pushing herself up, Gloria found that the Rock seemingly contained another Rock, except this one was a dark purple color, and had several holes in it the size of a toe. Sitting down next to the rock, she slowly peered into one of the holes…and got poked rather viscously in the eye. Gloria cried out in pain, and kicked the rock hard, only to find her foot in extreme pain. The rock was very solid indeed. Deciding it was time to show himself, Tongue stuck his head out and peered around angrily, until seeing the person who woke him from his sleep. Sticking his tongue out, he launched a spray of berry juice at her, causing her to be soaked to bits. Thinking he would have scared her way, he triumphantly returned his head to the interior of the rock. The Shiny Shuckle found himself captured soon after. The second capture during the Hoenn journey was a lot more simple. Gloria had been tipped off that a Shiny Swablu was living just south of the Dig Masters house, and as such, went to investigate. Looking around, she quickly discovered the Swablu staring at her cautiously. Reaching for her Pokeball, she got into a ready position. The Swablus eyes widened. How would it escape? So, the Swablu took the most direct option and just flew straight as Pine, trying to scare her away. She was also captured.
Five years after catching Serenity, she decided it was finally time to settle down. She was 33, and didn’t want to do much battling anymore anyway. That was when she received the offer of a life time. Professor Chestnut was finally resigning after 60 years of service to his region, and Pine was offered his spot in the Kumogata Region. She was thrilled. Although she’d never been to the region before, she’d heard plenty about it, and moved over there quickly to take over the lab. She quickly found her focus of study in the Pokemon world, Shinyness, and has since written multiple documents on the matter. She has since captured Rotom, a Pokemon who was becoming a nuisance in one of the finest restaurants in the world (and for some reason, one of the co-owners of the restaurant trapped it in a fridge) and Elekid, who was recently hatched out of an egg given by her brother. Her grandnephew will be starting his journey soon, and she is quite envious indeed that her brother managed to settle down and have a family, when she never did. She doesn’t mind, though. Her grandnephew was as good as a grandson to her anyway.
Character's Pokemon: (ONLY IF YOUR CHARACTER IS A TRAINER)
Name: Wart (Jr.)
Gender: Male
Species: Wartortle
Age: 40
Attacks: Rain Dance, Ice Punch, Mirror Coat, Hydro Cannon.
Level: 80, but so old now it no longer takes part in battles.
Personality: Wart was perhaps the most powerful Wartortle ever to enter the Kumogata region one rainy day, many years ago. He was in his prime, 21 years of age, and raring to battle against any trainer that got in his way. And so he did, fighting alongside his trainer to beat all of the eight Gyms, and eventually the Champion herself, who currently is in a nice long retirement. Wart, of course, had placed high positions in three of the other registered Pokemon Leagues (Kanto, Johto and Hoenn), but none of them had been as difficult as this, and the pressure of the battle was far too much for his trainer, so she retired. At first, Wart was completely heartstricken by this cruel turn of events, the greatest Wartortle ever (In his minds eye), nothing less than a measly pet from that point on until the end of his life. His misery was apparent to his Trainer, it seemed, as she then decided, rather regretfully, to trade the Wartortle away to another trainer, just so he could fulfil what he wanted to do. At first, Wartortle wasn’t sure what to feel, being trained by a different trainer just didn’t seem right, and he returned back to his trainer in less than a year.
Now settled down, Warts personality has become quite different indeed, almost turning into the house pet he dreaded to become. Now, however, his laid back personality means that he doesn’t really dread anything at all. Laying down on his stomach, or on his back all day in the lab, he rarely moves a muscle on any hot days, only moving if he needs to eat, or do other business. Generally not being used in study visits, unless they involved water or swimming, Wart has grown used to the boring times, and has found ways to entertain himself on certain days, one of the things he’s doing is help take care of Elekid, putting himself as a father figure in the young Pokemons life. He often makes various bets with Giggles, most of which he loses, and can be occasionally found attempting to master a variety of kung fu poses, but with little success. He has a deep adoration for his trainer, and would do almost anything for her, even if it means taking up his old battling ways once again, to fight for her safety.
Name: Bolts
Gender: Unknown
Species: Magneton
Age: 42 (Age of the oldest part of Bolts)
Attacks: Tri Attack, Magnet Rise, Recycle, Magnet Bomb.
Level: 52
Personality: Bolts was originally a pair of three Magnemites, all captured in the Power Plant. They were captured to see how a Shiny Magnemite would evolve, with two other normal Magnemites. What would happen upon evolution? Would the Single Magnemite lose its color, or would the twin Magnemites lose theirs, or perhaps even, would they not be compatible enough to evolve? But soon it became obvious, as Nuts the Shiny Magnemite, Screw and Nail fused together to form a completely shiny Magneton. The Shiny Magneton, Bolts as it was christened, was just like any other Magneton upon evolution (completely and utterly confused). The Magneton had no idea what was going on, and why his mind had suddenly obtained two more sets of memories, thoughts and likes. The ideas baffled the Pokemon, and it could barely think as one being, its body attempting to force it together, its individual personalities forcing it apart. Eventually, after three months in this state, its minds finally formed together as one subconscious, Bolts.
Bolts is one of the most bizarre Magneton you will ever see. It isn’t, however, because of the shiny colours that flow through his body, no, it’s the tendency he has to fly over to every electrical object he can find, and attempt to assimilate it into his body, as the Magnemite do upon evolution. Currently, the only thing the Pokemon has been successful in assimilating are a variety of Fridge Magnets (It’s favourite items, it might add), as everything else seems to have just a strong magnetic pulse as the Steel and Electric type does. Bolts is also very eco friendly, using the Recycle move taught by Pine as often as possible. But that’s the problem, he uses it on things that are perfectly new. Bottle full of expensive wine? Recycled. Brand new designed clothes? Recycled. Historical and irreplaceable mosaics made by the most famous artist in Pokemon history? Recycled, and getting his trainer a very high fine as compensation. One thing that Bolts refuses to even dream of is Evolution. He loves his current form, when all free parts are equal, and never wants to go to a state where one Magnemite has power over the other two, as that is completely unfair. And besides, Magnezone isn’t exactly the perfect Pokemon to stick Fridge Magnets on, is it?
Name: Serenity
Gender: Female
Species: Altaria
Age: 28
Attacks: Refresh, Dragon Rush, Draco Meteor, Sing
Level: 46
Personality: Serenity, to be brutally honest, is what you’d expect the personality of Shiny Dragon Pokemon. Proud, arrogant and selfish, Serenity believes herself to be the queen of all Pokemon, more powerful than all of the legendaries combined, even Arcues itself! Of course, she’s completely delusional, and is no stronger than an average Altaria of her species, regardless of the beautiful colour that she posses. She is, however, taller than most of her species, so that contributes to the fact that in reality she is a wondrous specimen of her species, the golden skin shining in the sky as she flies, forwards into battle with her trainer on her back. Well, in all honesty, none of that has happened for 23 years or so, the Altarias trainer settling down a short period of time after capturing her, and Altaria was soon very gloomy about her prospects of life. She, in all honesty, never wanted to be captured, only being caught by a stupid mistake, and she was angry at her trainer for her capture for quite some time, and still is, but she doesn’t generally mention it as much to her Trainer as she did in prior times. She has another longing which hasn’t been satisfied at all in her life; a want of love. Never before in her life has she found a mate, and never before has she had the chance to breed, something she wants to do dearly, believing that nothing is more special than creating another life with someone you love. No wild Altaria will approach her, though, now that she’s a trainer Pokemon, so she has little chance of gaining a love life any day.
In battle, Altaria is a beast, having powerful abilities such as Draco Meteor, the bird is really a creature to be reckoned with. Having huge cloud like wings is extremely helpful on any missions towards the colder parts of the mission, camouflage working its charm easily. The Professor is a skilled aerial rider of Serenity, and is able to perform various tricks, much to Serenities discomfort, as although she’ll never admit it, she’s extremely terrified of crashing. She isn’t the best Pokemon at making friends, and hasn’t really hit it off with any of the team, Shuckle still not forgetting an incident where Serenity tried to eat him. Her closest relationship is actually with Giggles, the Rotom, due to the fact they spend the most time together.
Name: Giggles
Gender: Unknown (Regarded as male)
Species: Rotom
Age: 15
Attacks: Substitute, Blizzard, Charge Beam, Sucker Punch
Level: 36
Personality: You’d think that trapping Giggles in a fridge and sending him to the supposed oldest and wisest trainer in the land would get him out of his troublesome ways, wouldn’t you? Well, you’d be wrong, as apparently this electric spirit has no plan of stopping anytime soon. From his name, you may guess that Giggles is a bit of a practical joker, but that is an understatement of the ghosts true potential. Flying around the lab in his freeze form, flying silently towards an enemy, dropping down behind them and giving them a extremely powerful shock is just a normal prank for the Rotom, who does it quite often to any Pokemon foolish enough to stay out of their pokeballs while he’s in the house. As such, he’s disliked by quite a lot of the Pokemon in the house for his annoying methods, and has become slightly lonely as of late. But does loneliness stop his numerous tricks? No, it just makes him increase the amount, attempting to get attention from the other Pokemon and his trainer enough so to make them like him, regardless of how long it will take. He hates being confined to the Fridge, as it means he no longer has the ability to seep through electrical plugs and appear anywhere as he could do in his youth, but he manages okay.
Giggles, despite his humorous nature, is actually the Pokemon taken out most, alongside Serenity, to the expeditions and study visits that Pine makes. This is actually because of the fact that Giggles is younger than the rest of the team, has a variety of skilled abilities, and he can also store various items, including food, files and Pines laptop. Of course, Rotom will never go hungry with a Fridge for his body, as he occasionally absorbs food from the fridge into his body, much to the surprise of Professor Pine when she comes to get that very same food item later in the day. He has been trying to find a way to break out of the fridge daily, never ceasing to amaze Pine by using various plans completely and utterly strange. One of his attempts saw him attempting to break out the fridge by smashing himself constantly against the wall in an attempt to break the fridge apart. Another involved getting Plug to go inside the fridge, and then attempting to steal Plugs body with his Rotom abilities. Needles to say he failed.
Name: Plug
Gender: Male
Species: Elekid
Age: 5 Months
Attacks: Meditate, Ice Punch, Quick Attack, Leer
Level: 2
Personality: The youngest member of the Squad, Elekid was born only months ago and given to Pine for research soon after. Originally, Elekid was slightly scared by his new trainer, and very worried about his safety, due to the fact he was a long distance from his mother, and therefore, all the training he needed to be a normal Electabuzz. Professor Pine saw from this early age, however, that Elekid certainly wouldn’t become a normal Electabuzz, simply because of one Egg Move learnt from its parent, Meditate. And from its parent, Elekid gained a lot of personality traits that started kicking in at about a months worth of life, the young Pokemon finally trusting its trainer enough to act normal. Elekid was much more calm than a Pokemon should be after being taken away from its mother, not ever attempting to escape, or even harm Pine. He had a much higher threshold for anger levels, and would often ignore Giggles rude comments, something that most Pokemon had a hard time dealing with. He had enhanced reflects, and slightly weaker muscles in a young state. In case you hadn’t worked it out by now, Plugs father was a Medicham, and a tough one at that.
Elekid, however, did inherit a lot of traits from his mothers side of the family, especially the love for combat. Taken under the wing of Wartortle, Elekid has learnt Ice Punch from the turtle (the same way the move tutor taught it to him) and has become accustomed to use it in various combos, including Quick Attack quite heavily. He has also practically mastered his inherited Egg Move, Meditate, using the attack in order to enhance his physical strength, before smashing the enemy with his speedy skills. He has, however, seemed to not inherit one quality from his father. Brains. Elekid is rather stupid at his young age, and will make a mistake several times before realising he should stop doing it, and then taking several tries in an attempt to fix the mistake, often failing and giving up. With Wartortles help, though, Elekid looks like he’ll eventually be a force to reckon with.
Being a well experience Trainer, Gloria has countless other Pokemon stored in her Lab, as well as the labratory gardens. Shuckle is currently in hospital after an accident involving a large moving fridge, and as such is not listed amongst the current team.
