More or less Kayla had only begun her journey, and she was pretty tired. A backpack strapped to her back, carrying general supplied, like food and water, a sleeping bag, a tent, and enough money to get herself goings. She was wondering a little bit, about how she would make sure that she had enough money to keep herself going, but it didn’t matter just at this minute, because right now she had to plan where she was going to end up in the first place and for this task she was holding onto the most detailed map that she could get her hands on, and was praying she would be able to read it corrected, she wouldn’t be able to cope much if she managed to get herself lost in a forest. She wasn’t terribly gifted with having a good survival instinct, or she didn’t think she was, which could come back to her lack of confidence, which was going to be evident for quite a while.
Should she try her hand at catching another Pokémon, so she would be twice as protected in the natural problem of everything going wrong. Yes, that was a much better idea, than just trying to get to the next town. All she needed to do was find one in the first place.

—Enter NPC— — Bidoof— Level: Three
The second route of the Kumogata region was a busy one, crammed full of Pokemon trainers who were just beginning their journey. No doubt many of them would soon give up the extremely challenging hobby, but it was well known that every now and then came a Pokemon trainer who persevered, one who didn't give up and kept trying until they were the best, be it at fighting or competitions or just collecting.
But the route was full of more than just Pokemon trainers. Just like any other part of Kumogata, route two was full of Pokemon. Whether they scurried about in the grass, or sat in the trees just chilling out, Pokemon was easy to find. It just so happened that one of these Pokemon, a Bidoof, had tumbled out of a tree he'd foolishly been trying to climb and had landed at the bottom. The fall dazed the Bidoof, and after quickly brushing himself off and regaining his senses, he turned round and ran.
Unfortunately, he ran straight into a leg. He jumped back slightly, worried. The Bidoof looked up, his wide brown eyes glistening in the bright sunlight.
"Oof?"
He glanced at the human female questioningly, slowly bringing his gaze down to the Pokeball by her side.
Oh No.
She was a trainer, and Bidoof knew what that mean. He squeaked loudly, turning round and running again, straight into the tree he'd fallen from only moments before. Once again, he rubbed his head with his little dark paws, quickly shaking himself to regain his senses.
He sighed. It seemed escape wasn't going to be so easy. He looked up at the girl again, putting on the cutest face he could manage, hoping that this would cause her to leave him alone. However, if she persisted and tried to fight him with her Pokemon...
Well. There'd be no complaints from him.

Well her search hadn’t actually taken that long, Kayla looked around, instinctively hunting down whatever had just made the noise she had managed to hear, a crashing sound, which had come from one of the tree’s, it was certainly going to be a Pokémon. She felt her heart start to thump a little bit, maybe with excitement, maybe nerves, but either way it was going to be her first proper battle, and hopefully she would be able to capture her first Pokémon with Airies.
She looked across, and the first thing which she saw was an awfully confused looking Pokémon, Bidoof she thought that it’s name was, she wasn’t 100% sure on that, but it felt like the right name. She watching it walk right into her, before looking up, and beginning to panic. She watched it run back into the tree which she assumed it had come from, it was in the opposite direction from where she was, and bang it’s head, before turn around, looking cute, very cute. Something with that sort of face would be brilliant in a contest.
”Go Airies.” She called out, throwing the Poke’ball she knew Airies would be in, it was the only one on the left side of her belt. ”Use Peck.” Yes Airies only knew peck, and growl, but Kayla knew that she would need to hurt the Bidoof a little in order to be able to capture it herself.

Bidoof was surprised at the speed at which the girl dismissed his innocent, cute looks and decided to enslave him forever. Well. Bidoof wasn't going to go easily, if she wanted to capture him, then she was going to need to put up a fight, 'cause he was a tough guy and he wasn't going to just be taken down by some little bluebird who's only weapon looked to be it's beak. No, Bidoof was a tough guy and—
OOOF!
Bidoof had been so distracted he hadn't realized the Tailow flying towards him, and by the time he did it was already too late, the little birds beak had already connected with the top of his head, nipping him sharply on the top of the skull. He looked up, annoyed, with an expression on his face that would tell the Tailow clear as day that he was angry.
Being in the air, he couldn't reach the flying Tailow right now, but he had something else he could do instead. Bidoof clenched his face muscles, snarling loudly at the Tailow with an expression that said 'Come near me and i Will rip you to pieces'. Hopefully, the Growl attack would startle the Tailow, make him reluctant to come any closer, but if he did then Bidoof could always just attack him when he came close.

The Bidoof was putting up a bit of a fight, even though Kayla knew that it probably wouldn’t be able to reach up, and be able to get at Airies, but it was growling, and the growl might scare Airies a little, and make him not really want to go down, and attack the Bidoof again, which would simply end in a constant stalemate, as the Bidoof would never be able to reach that high up to Airies, and Airies wouldn’t want to go down to attack the Bidoof. Kayla just watched, knowing Airies was between her, and the Bidoof incase it went for her instead, trying to neutralise the trainer, and escape back into the wild.
”Come on Airies, use your own growl.” The Taillow squawked back at the Bidoof in return, clearly a little bit angry. Maybe this would be able to startle the Bidoof, and mean that Airies would be able to go down for a knockout shot, but Kayla doubted it, she would be disappointed if the Bidoof just went down like that, she wanted to see it’s best colours first. Aside from the cute looks that was.

Bidoof was annoyed to see that his growl was met by nothing but another growl. Tailows growl was more of a squawk than a growl, but it was quite worrying nonetheless. Bidoof glared up at the Tailow, standing completely still. The growl did however scare him a bit, and he knew he wasn't ready to attack.
Well, not yet.
Instead, he turned his back, running towards the tree he'd fallen out of earlier. Maybe if he could find some way to climb it this time, then he'd be able to leap out and jump onto Tailow.
Scrambling frantically, Bidoof tried to find a way to climb the tree before Tailow took the obvious advantage and pecked him in the back as he climbed up.
<Sorry, Short post. You didn't attack, I didn't attack, not much to write about xD>

The Bidoof had turned to try and run, which Kayla did find sort of silly, it was never really going to be faster than Airies, considering that Airies was able to fly, which would hopefully give Kayla a bit of a better chance of catching the Bidoof, as it tried to make off, and climb the tree. ”Go Airies, Peck it again.” Kayla yelled out, using the confidence which she only found that she had when she was around Pokémon. Hopefully this would at least knock the Bidoof onto it’s back or something, make it a little bit more immobile than it had been, so she would be able to capture it.
Her eye’s narrowed a little, as she watched with expectation, wondering what she would be able to do with the Bidoof after she caught it, or rather if she caught it, she simply really wasn’t that confident, but she hoped she would be able to succeed, it would be pretty rubbish of her if she managed to fail, and she would be annoyed with herself as well, quite angry most likely.

Bidoof had just managed to get his claws into the tree and was climbing up pretty quickly when he heard a whooshing noise from behind him and was shocked (and slightly annoyed) to feel Tailows beak nip him again, this time on the back. He winced, and it took all his strength not to fall from the tree to the ground again. Luckily, he did manage to hold onto the tree and keep his position. he quickly glanced at his back, and could both see and feel where the Tailow had given him a sharp nip.
Nevertheless, he powered on, climbing the tree as best he could. Eventually, he did reach the top and managed to scurry along one of the branches to the end. Once he arrived there, he grinned down at Tailow before jumping off in the bluebirds direction. The tree was very high, and he knew that if he did hit Tailow then the damage would be quite high to, however if he missed, there was no doubt that he'd plummet to the ground and be severely injured.
As Bidoof fell through the air towards Tailow, he shut his eyes, knowing his freedom was in fates hands now. If he hit, then he might go free, but if not then he was certain he'd be captured.

Kayla was watching the Bidoof hurtle itself out of the tree, though thankfully not before it took a couple of pecks from Airies. She watched it manage to reach the top of the tree, working out that it must have been the one that the Bidoof had fallen out of in the first place. She watched it, and looked at Airies; who had been unable to get in under the tree to properly get at the Bidoof. Maybe it was hiding? That would only prove to be annoying for Kayla, she wanted the Bidoof to be caught, not to be able to escape because it had managed to hide itself in a tree.
Then it did something unexpected, and launched itself out of the tree. Kayla didn’t expect anything like this, there was no chance that she had even thought the Pokémon might attempt a do-or-die attack, it just seemed to be a little bit too foolish for a Pokémon to try. Still it had, and Airies hadn’t expected it, desperately swooping backwards, and just about missing the Bidoof, but only just. Kayla watched it, once it fell to the ground she would throw a Poke’ ball, and hopefully be able to capture it.

For a few moments, Bidoof was dazed by the sensation of pure weightlessness. As he fell down from the high branch he felt almost indestructible, like he could do anything. But alas, it was not to last. The fall lasted only seconds before Bidoof crashed into the ground, missing Tailow just by a tiny amount.
Instead of landing softly on the bird as planned, Bidoof his the ground with a loud thud. Although he couldn't get up, he managed to look up at the girl, glaring with a face that meant 'leave me alone, i just fell from a really high tree and would like to have a nap'
But Bidoof knew this wasn't going to happen. The Pokemon sighed, resigning himself to the fact that he was probably going to be captured whether he liked it or not. Bidoof exhaled slowly, closing his eyes and rolling over onto his back, hoping that there was at least some kind of pain-relief in it for him if the trainer managed to capture him.

The Bidoof landed, and the instincts began to kick in for Kayla as she threw one of the Poke balls strapped to the right of her belt, they where the ones she knew where empty, despite the fact that with Airies out she knew pretty well that all the other Poke balls she had would be empty, but not anymore, not once the Poke ball hit the Bidoof, then with everything going to plan she would gain a second Pokémon to be able to choose from. That was all she was thinking about, a second Pokémon, all that was running around in her mind.
She would need to think up a name as well, yes something suitable, she would need to do that soon as well, before she got into a habit of just calling it something else, something she didn’t really want to. Her head was spinning a little bit, before she remembered Airies as well, looking down at her. ”You did well, come on back.” Kayla said to him, before returning the Taillow to his Poke ball, and switching her attention back to the Bidoof.

<Congratz on becoming the first member to get more than one Pokemon in a Legit manner > Bidoof watched tensely as the red and white ball flew towards him, closing his eyes just before the Pokeball opened, letting out a stream of white energy which surrounded Bidoofs body.
The energy was strange. It felt warm. It felt like Home. As the energy wrapped its way around Bidoofs body, he smiled. There was no need to fight it any more. With a happy sigh, he let the energy surround him and draw him back into the Pokeball.
A second later, the Pokeball snapped closed, the white energy and Bidoof locked inside. For a moment, it seemed like the Pokeball was going to burst open. For almost thirty seconds it wobbled uncontrollably, as if Bidoof was going to escape at any moment, but then...
Silence.
The Pokeball lay still on the small patch of grass underneath the tree that Bidoof had made it his lifes goal to climb. He'd managed it, and now he was part of something much bigger. A red light flashed on the front of the Pokeball, indicating that the Bidoof had been caught, and that it was safe to come closer.
Inside the Pokeball, Bidoof smiled to himself. He'd done his best, and if this was to be his new path, then so be it. He was ready for anything.

Kayla watched the Poke ball capture the Bidoof, and looked on tensely as it wobbled for about 30 seconds. She didn’t want the Bidoof to escape now, not after she had done everything, she had beaten it, and she had tried to capture it. It seemed to take too long, and every second that passed was painful, every second was another second it might break out.
Then the Poke ball stopped moving, and flashed red, showing it was safe. Kayla smiled, approaching it, even if a little cautiously, just to make sure it wasn’t a trick, and she had properly caught it. She smiled more, picking up the Poke ball, and looking at it, deep in her own thoughts. She needed a name, a good one as well. How about, erm, Capricorn? Yes, she would call him Capricorn, that was good.
Now all she needed was another plan, somewhere to set up camp for the night probably.
